ancient China Tour is designed to introduce the real China to you.
You will be surprised to see the posh shopping malls in the big cities.
You will also marvel at the simple but happy life of the descendants
of Confucius in Qufu, who still follow the doctrines of their ancestor.
The mighty Great Wall, the splendid Forbidden City and the magnificent
Temple of Heaven are all included into the itinerary. Please read

DAY 1
Arrive
in Beijing. Your friendly national guide will meet you at the airport
for the transfer to the hotel with a prime downtown location. (D)
DAY 2
It’s a lifetime’s dream to see the Great Wall yourself.
The dream comes true when you actually walk on the winding Great Wall,
which is around 1 hour’s drive from Beijing and set in a mountain
range. We can promise you that your first views of the Wall snaking
across the mountains will take your breath away.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Ming Tomb tucked away in rolling

3
Today is a very busy day and will introduce some of the absolute gems
of Ancient China. Visit the Forbidden City also known as the Imperial
City where you will marvel at its magnitude and grandeur. More than
dozen emperors of two dynasties used to live in this huge palace for
over 500 years till early twentieth century. A visit to Tian’anmen
Square will take you to the cultural and spiritual heart of modern
China as well as being in the largest square in the world. The Temple
of Heaven is arguably one of the most beautiful buildings in the city
where the Ancient Emperors would come to pray for a good harvest-
and whilst there sample the ancient Chinese tea drinking in a special
pavilion.
To complete the day, a visit to the breathtaking Chinese Acrobatic

Free morning to relax or explore the city on your own. Your guide
will be able to direct you to some excellent markets where you can
put your buying and negotiating skills to the test.
Depart after lunch in Beijing leave by train at 1330. Arrive Jinan
1800. Transfer to your hotel for dinner. (B)

Depart after breakfast for the drive by modern expressway to Taian.
Whilst there are 6666 steps to climb to the top, today we use the
ultra modern cable car to whisk you to the summit with breathtaking
views along the way. Mt. Tai is the first among the five most sacred
mountains in China with countless historical relics, esp. cliff inscriptions
from successive dynasties. The Mountain is on the UNESCO list of world
cultural and natural heritage.
After lunch, a short drive to Bu Yang- a typical Chinese village at
the foot of Mt. Tai and experience Chinese farm and surroundings.
Here you will get an ideal perspective of life in China’s villages
which make up of 70% of this massive country. It is a thought provoking
and unique visit.
Continue to Qufu for dinner. Travel by Rickshaws to the Apricot Altar
Theater for Confucius Singing and Dancing Show-“Confucius Dream” at
night. This is a highly professional stage extravaganza with sound,
light, music and storyline, and a fitting introduction to the town
famous for its associations with Confucius. (B/L/D)

Qufu is a famous ancient town where Confucius was born 2555 years
ago. Today people from all over the world come to show their respect
to Confucius and learn Chinese culture. The Confucius Temple together
with Confucius Mansion are World Heritages of Culture by UNESCO. You
will visit historic remains and enjoy Chinese culture here. The marvelous
architectures and beautiful stories will leave you with a memorable
impression. A Tai Chi master will be invited to teach you this ancient
but everyday practice before breakfast. A gentle introduction to start
this day. Visit Confucius temple and Mansion in the morning. You will
enjoy a rickshaws tour around the old city area and free shopping
after lunch.
Time for another Chinese ‘Experience’ Travel in soft class by sleeper
train to Suzhou. (B/L/D)

Arrive Suzhou at early morning, transfer to your 4-star hotel. Visit
the Humble Administrative Garden one of the most famous in China and
designed in the classical style which is timeless. See a silk factory
and the processes from the silk worm to the finished article and the
labor intensive production. A cruise on the 1600 years old Grand Canal
will enable you to view the waterside streets of the old city.(B/L/D)

Highlights of today’s tour include the Fish- Net Master’s Garden,
Tiger Hill, with a leaning tower on top. Afternoon train to Shanghai,
overnight at 4-star hotel. (B/L/D)

Welcome to Shanghai, the largest gateway city of China. A Visit to
the old city with its teeming shops and the Yu Yuan garden is an absolute
must as is the adjacent Nanjing Road, probably the largest collection
of shops and department stores in the country. A walk along the Bund
which is the promenade for the Huang Po river with its elegant 19th
century buildings is essential and will produce view across the river
to the new and dynamic Pudong “the financial heart of this fabulous
city”. Interspressed with all of this modernity is the Jade Buddha
Temple, an oasis of calm and tranquility. (B)
