Visit Tian An Men Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven
and the Summer Palace. Dinner followed by Peking Opera performance.

Full day excursion to the mighty Great wall and Ming Tombs. A Peking

DAY05 BEIJING -
HOHHOT
Whole day free at leisure. Transfer to airport. Depart via CA1102
at 21:30, arrive at 22:40 and transfer to 3-star Zhaojun Hotel. (B)
DAY06 XILAMUREN
GRASSLAND
Coach to Xilamuren Prairie. Stay at a traditional Mongolian Yurt.
A local flavor dinner is planned. (B/L/D)
DAY07 XILAMUREN
- HOHHOT
Visit a local Mongolian family and witness their hospitality. Start
friendly conversation with the host through your local guide and learn
the details of their life. Coach back to Hohhot and stay overnight
at Zhaojun Hotel. (B/L/D)
DAY08 HOHHOT -
DATONG
Visit Zhaojun Tomb, 5-pagoda Temple and Grand Mosque. Depart via Train
#90 at 18:38, arrive at 22:47 and transfer to 3-star Yungang Hotel.

DAY09 DATONG -
XIAN
A visit to the impressive Yungang Grottoes is a tourist must in Datong.
The cliff caves house some 50,000 statues and bas-reliefs carved out
of stones. The earliest statues date back to 386A.D. Depart via Train
#475 at 17:04 (overnight train, first class soft sleeper with 4 berths

DAY10 XIAN
Arrive at 11:03, transfer to 4-star jianguo Hotel to freshen up. Visit
the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall. (B/L/D)

Full day tour of the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum, the Huaqing Hot
Springs and the Bangpo Neolithic Commune Museum. Enjoy a Tang Dynasty

Depart via CJ6401 at 11:00, arrive at 12:30 and transfer to 4-star

Depart via morning flight SZ4403 at 06:50 and arrive at 08:55. Transfer
to Holiday Inn. Your national and local guide will give you very good
advice on how to make yourself comfortable on the high altitude of

The first must-see in Tibet is the Potala Palace, which used to be
the home of the Dalai Lamas. Sightseeing highlights also include Jokhang

Coach to Xigatze after breakfast, stop at Lake Yam Drok Tso for lunch.
Arrive Xigatze in the afternoon and check in 3-star Xigatze Hotel.

Pay visit to a Tibetan family and local free markets. Tour the Tashilunpo

Spend the day at leisure and explore the mysterious Lhasa. (B)
DAY19 LHASA - CHENGDU
Depart via SZ4406 at 09:50, arrive Chengdu at 11:35. Visit Dufu Cottage

SHANGHAI
Depart via SZ4529 at 08:00, arrive at 11:55 and transfer to 4-star
Ocean Hotel. Welcome to Shanghai, the financial and commercial centre
of the world's most populous nation. Visit the Jade Buddha Temple,
famous for its two rare statues of Buddha; and the Bund, the European

DAY21 SHANGHAI
Today's tour will take you to Yu Yuan Garden, a Children's Palace
and Nanking Road, the most fashionable street in Shanghai. Dinner

CITY
Transfer to airport. Say good-bye to China as you board return flight
